We know what needs to be done!
Investigations will be carried out during an initial site visit. The goal of this is to determine the cause as well as the exact extent of the damage. We then discuss next steps with the affected parties on site. Emergency measures, such as evacuating affected building structures by taping sheeting or setting up air purifiers, are frequently initiated at this juncture. In the event of more extensive damage, it is often necessary to carry out further investigations of, for example, structural openings in tandem with an external mould expert. Generally speaking, it is necessary to remove infested material and subsequently conduct an in-depth clean of the whole restoration area.
Where the results of the investigation are available further steps can be planned:
- Generating a quote
- Drawing up a risk assessment
- Drawing up a restoration strategy
After awarding a contract the relevant necessary restoration work then follows, depending on the extent of the damage.
Once it has reached completion, a check of the restoration work should always be conducted by an external mould expert in order to document the work. The performance of all tasks must be carried out in accordance with the ‘Mould guidelines’ provided by the Federal Environment Agency, as well as complying with all applicable rules and regulations. mibag has personnel certified by the Bundesverband Schimmelpilzsanierung e.V. (BSS) [Federal Association of Mould Remediation] in mould remediation, who operate on a national basis.
