The peel-off technique represents an effective and gentle method of dry cleaning a wide variety of mineral surfaces. Used in interior settings, it cleans and removes dirt from, for example, wall and ceiling surfaces made from natural stone, brick, concrete, gypsum, wood or plaster. Using the peel-off technique soot, dust and other dirt deposits are absorbed ‘dry’ and afterwards stick to the ‘peel sheet’, enabling them to be peeled off. The uniformly applied, latex-like material is carefully peeled off after drying, using as constant a force as possible to ensure smooth removal. The drying times vary depending on the environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.). The original subsurface is neither altered nor damaged when using the non-destructive peel-off technique.
